Before the training starts tomorrow, I want you to know something.

I asked parents in our private Facebook group what each one wanted to learn most this week. And what came back stopped me.

Here is what you told me, in your own words:

*"We had more influence than we were allowed to believe."*

*"You can and should have a major and central say in what goes into it. Don't sign it uninformed."*

*"I can determine the goals."*

*"They will say it but won't implement it."*

*"I could have an impact on the IEP without having access to it."*

*"I have the right to collaborate with the goals being set."*

You already knew something was off. You just didn't have the language, the framework, or anyone to hand you what you were actually entitled to.

That changes now.
