There is a moment that happens every single time I do this. You are watching me go through an IEP and you start seeing your child's in a completely different way. You go quiet. And then you say it. "I never noticed that before. Nobody ever showed me that."
That is what happens on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25 when we do the IEP Mini-Audits.
Most IEP workshops tell you what should be in the IEP. This is going to show you what is actually
in yours, and what it is costing your child.
You have done everything right.
You showed up to the meeting. You shared everything you know about your child. What lights them up. How they actually learn. What works when someone finally gets it right.
You watched everyone nod.
And none of it made it into the IEP.
So you go home, open the document, and you know something is wrong. You just cannot put your finger on exactly where it breaks down or what to do about it.
Here is what we do.
I take a IEP submitted by a parent in our private Facebook
group, redact everything that could identify the child or family, and we go through it together.
I trace the connection between your child's strengths, their Present Levels, and their goals. And when that connection breaks, I show you exactly where and exactly what it is costing your child.
Something like: the strengths say your child learns best with visual supports. Now look at
this goal. Visual supports are not mentioned anywhere. The team heard that. They wrote it down. And then they wrote a goal that has nothing to do with how your child actually learns.
When that happens, your child pays the price. They get pulled out of the classroom instead of supported inside it. They spend another year being managed instead of taught. They sit next to their classmates at lunch but spend the school day
somewhere else.
That is what a broken connection costs your child.
And when you can finally see it, everything changes. You stop going into meetings feeling like something is off and you start walking in knowing exactly what to ask for. Something specific. Something the team has to respond to.
There are 4 total spots for parents who want their own child's IEP Mini-Audit. 2 spots on Wednesday, June 24. 2 spots on Thursday, June 25. Those parents get specific feedback on their child's actual document, from me, live.
AND, don't worry, you will walk away with more than you came with, too. Watching me go through someone else's IEP teaches you how to read
your own. You will leave knowing what to look for, what questions to ask, and what to bring to your next meeting.
Once you are registered and inside our private Facebook group, look for the drawing post. Drop your name in the comments. We draw 4 names for the IEP Mini-Audits on Wed. and Thurs.
The full training is Free. Three days. June 23 through June 25, with a Bonus session on Friday, June 26.

Because your child deserves to spend their school day in the room with their classmates. Learning alongside them. Supported by adults who actually know how they learn. Not managed somewhere down the hall.
That starts with an IEP that is built around your
child.
