Because having the pieces isn’t the same as connecting them.
And when they’re not connected, your child’s strengths become decoration, not direction.
That’s the part you were never shown to look for.
You can write a thoughtful parent letter.
You can share detailed strengths.
You can attend every meeting prepared.
But if those strengths don’t shape the Present Levels…
If the Present Levels don’t guide the goals…
If the goals don’t align with supports…
If the supports aren’t clearly delivered in services…
Then the IEP falls apart.
Not loudly.
Quietly.
And that’s why inclusion ends up being a percentage instead of a lived experience.
