You've been right all along. You just didn't have the words.
 

You left the meeting with the folder in your hand and that feeling in your chest.
 

Not anger, not confusion...but that feeling that this IEP still isn't what my child needs.
 

And then you second-guessed yourself. Because everyone in the room had a title and a credential and a very official-looking binder. 

So maybe you missed something. Maybe you just don't understand how IEPs work.

Here's what I see over and over when I sit down as an advocate with a parent and their child's IEP, every section was written. Some "strengths" are there. The goals are there. The services are there. On paper, it looks complete.
 

But the sections don't talk to each other.

The strengths don't shape the goals. The goals don't drive the services. The placement doesn't follow from any of it. 

Every piece of the IEP was written in a silo, by different staff and nobody connected them into one story about your child.
 

That gap is where your child falls through. Because no one knew there were dots to connect, and no one was asked to.

How vs. Just Do It 

After AI gives you a response, don't say "improve this", ask "How could this be improved?" 

That one word changes everything. AI will tell you what's weak and why, so you actually learn something. 

Then ask it to make the improvements it just described. You get a better result and you understand why it's better.

Better questions on paper, better questions in the room. Both matter.
