That knot in your stomach has a name: gaslighting.
I know the drive home after an IEP meeting all too well. The second-guessing.
The WTF just happened? loop playing on repeat.
Guess what? That knot in your stomach has a name:Gaslighting.
Gaslighting doesn’t shout “you’re wrong.” It plants just enough doubt that you start questioning yourself.
AND when that doubt grows I bet you do one of two things: 1. Shrink back into silence, afraid to make it worse. Or
2. Get angry and frustrated that you weren’t
heard.
Either way, the system wins the psychological game.
I’ve seen it as a teacher, and I’ve felt it as a mom.
That’s why today on The Art of Advocacy Live, we'll look at the three most common gaslighting tactics used in IEP
meetings, and what you can do when they happen.
WHEN: Today,Thursday
TIME: 10 am Mtn. Time, 12 pm ET, 11 am CT, 9

WHERE: On my The Art of Advocacy Facebook page Because once you see gaslighting for what it is, you’ll never unsee it.
⚠️Trigger Warning: Talking about gaslighting can be heavy. If you know this will feel overwhelming, you may want to skip the Live or catch the replay on YouTube when you want. Please take care of yourself first.
What is happening isn't your fault. I'm here to support you.
