It included a photo of The Art of Advocacy, my book from ten years ago, sitting on her shelf. She wrote:
“You little rockstar! I just realized you wrote this book on my shelf! I
really loved the scenarios!”
It was a sweet message. And it got me thinking.
Because on one hand it felt really good. Ten years later, and my book is still
helping parents, advocates, even attorneys!
People are still finding value in the stories and tools I shared.
But on the other hand?
The same challenges that pushed me to write the book back then?
They're still happening.
Parents still feel defeated. Meetings often feel like battles.
And kids are still waiting on the support they deserve.
That part? That part just makes me tired. And fired up. At the same time.
All of that made me curious.
So I uploaded the book into a tool called Google NotebookLM. It’s designed to pull out key insights and language from long documents.
The result?
An AI-assisted podcast that retells the heart of the book. Pretty amazing.
No fluff just powerful guidance, real scenarios, and the
tools I used when I was trying to speak up for my son, Dylan without burning out.

I'd love to know what you think of it.
And if this speaks to you?
Circle July 31 on your calendar.
That’s when I’ll be sharing something new...something I’ve never done quite like this before.
It’s for you if you're tired of battling to get the school to change.
Tired of second-guessing if you're being reasonable.
Tired of going to meetings and walking out still confused and more worried about what's happening at school for your child.
If this sounds like something you want in on, keep your eyes on
July 31.
