Your child is being teased and bullied on the playground. Shamed in the hallway.
Again, they are sent out of the classroom because no one knows how to support
them.
You’ve done everything “right.”
You’ve documented the concerns. You’ve asked for help.
You’ve followed the chain of
command.
So you file a civil rights complaint with the Office for Civil Rights (OCR)…
And then nothing. No callback. No one left to investigate.
Because under President Trump’s direction, the U.S. Department of Education just gutted the very office that exists to protect your child from discrimination.

That includes complaints from:
- Families of students with disabilities
- Students of color
- Kids in poverty
- English learners
- Our Kids

This is not just red tape. This is real harm, and it leaves millions of students without a safety net.

The Art of Advocacy: Civil Rights Have
Not Been in This Much Peril Since The 1950s.
Our guest is Marcie Lipsitt, nationally known as the Army of One and a "prolific OCR complaint filer"(something tells me she doesn't mind this label).
She’s
helped hundreds of families file complaints with the Office for Civil Rights and now she’s sounding the alarm:
“You’re going to have to fight harder for accountability because there may be none left at the U.S. Department of Ed.”
She believes our children’s civil rights haven’t been this much in danger since the 1950s and she’s coming ready to talk about what parents need to do now.
