When you ask your child, "How was school today?" or "What did you do at school today?" 

you don’t usually get a whole lot of information from them. And that’s from any of our kids, right? 

As parents of children with disabilities, and disabled children we have to rely on a variety of ways to let us know what is happening at school. 

One way is with Progress Reports that are supposed to tell you what progress your child is making on their IEP goals.

I don’t know what your Progress Reports look like, but as an advocate, I see many that only have a letter, like P for Progressing, or a number, like #1 for Insufficient Progress Made.

You need to stop accepting these meaningless Progress Reports because...
What You Accept, Continues. 

Instead, you want Progress Reports that really tell you how your child is doing meeting their IEP goals and if the instructional strategies are working.
