Inclusion For One Means Inclusion For All: NOT
Have you heard that when you advocate for your child to be included, you are helping
clear the path for other students also to be included?
Heck, I’ve said that exact thing for years. I wanted to believe it, even though I had this nagging feeling that it wasn’t really true.
Let me ask you. When parents are successful in having their child included, are all other students in the future also included?
If we continue advocating only for individuals, we will not see systemic change in our education system.
When you advocate at the IEP table, you can change things for your child, and that’s it.
What do serious change-makers do?
They know how to use the power of collaborative advocacy.
Do you want to keep using individual advocacy to try to create
change? Or are you ready to fine-tune your collective advocacy skills and design systemic change?
If you’re ready to create systemic change that will lead towards true equity in education and inclusion for all students, tune into our live show on Thursday, November 10th!
We'll be live at Noon Mtn. Time, 2 pm ET, 1 pm CT, 11am PT.
