Are you trying to hang on to hope that this year will be better than last year?
Preparing for a new school year can bring long to-do lists, some moments of panic (what will back to-school be like for your child), and wishing you could be more positive about what this year will bring.
Would you love to learn a Back to the Future Tool that you can
use right now that will make a difference in how this fall goes for your child? Keep reading.
Do you tell yourself every year, “Okay, this going to be a better year. We’re going to start with a clean slate…”
and all along, your inner voice is saying, “Sure you are, hahaha. Get real. After what happened last year, how could you think of starting with a “clean slate”?”
When our son Dylan was young, I remember certain beginnings of the year when I was so worried if his general education teacher would like him and if he would be involved in the class activities.
I was anxious the special education teacher might sabotage our efforts to keep Dylan included with his friends.
I wish I knew how to use this Back to The Future Tool back then.
In August, our Trailblazer trainings are focused on learning more about stopping those racing
negative movies that keep playing in our heads and tap into ways we can have more positive and collaborative conversations with school staff.
I’ll be sharing the very powerful Back to the Future Tool in our Trailblazer membership group. We'll also have time to experiment with it.
On AUGUST 9th you’ll learn:
* how to rephrase statements so that options are really discussed at IEP meetings and not shot down immediately;
* the 4 components you need to include when saying, “No.”
* what to say when you don’t know what to say.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 16th we will learn how to:
give and receive meaningful communication so you know more about how your child is doing at school. Yes, even if the principal says you can’t talk to the para-educator.
If you want to join our Trailblazer trainings, just reply to this email, or send me a message. We’re here to support
you!
This school year will be more positive and filled with inclusive opportunities for your son or daughter!
