It can be hard to go cold turkey and change the beloved SMART Goals acronym that we have held high in esteem for so many decades.
Part of me still loves specific and measurable goals. And part of me is sick and tired of reading IEPs with such vague, meaningless “goals” that it makes me want to puke.
Okay, that’s a bit dramatic – and I bet you’ve had similar feelings reading some of your child’s IEPs.
I’ve gotten some different ideas of what a SMART goal could look like. Would you like to hear them and get a chance to share your idea of a SMART goal?
This Thursday, July 14th is the perfect day for us to not only look at changing the meaning of SMART goals… we’ll also be sharing questions you can ask when helping write IEP goals for your child.
It’ll be a fun live show, for sure!
Let's redefine SMART goals!
