Two important points to remember as we get ready for a new school year:
1. Learning priorities for our kids don't change depending on where they are, be it at school or with remote learning.
How our children's goals will be addressed or when we address them, or where we address them will most likely will change this school year.
2. Our children's IEP goals are not their curriculum. The general education curriculum is what they are are supposed to have access to and make progress on.
Our children are general education students first.
How can this be done during a pandemic?
The TIES Center has developed a new framework that can help families and educators as we begin this new school year.
