The second key takeaway we talked about is to ask more questions!
When I first became a professional advocate I knew a lot about the laws (remember I'm not an attorney and can't give legal advice), federal regulations, and research on best practices (I was a teacher for
30 years).
I knew some about traditional and consensus bargaining because I was a teacher representative on our school district's bargaining team. And since I have started my advocacy business I have loved learning more to help families Get To Yes at IEP meetings.
Go to the 16 minute, 16 second part of the video and see how we walk through what to do when you hear "No".
Have we got a line up of more fabulous live shows for you, or what?! Put these dates and times in your calendar.
If you'd like my #IEPBot to give you a reminder 30 minutes before we go live, just click on this link.
Take care,
